"I can't explain. Many of you wondered what happened to me, where I was lost and why I got lost. A journalist contacted me, found a way to reach me, and I told him everything last summer. It was very kind and it was a great feeling to be able to speak in the end.
"Honestly, and please believe me, now I'm fine and safe. I was raped, drugged and held hostage for a few days. Of course I survived. It took time to get over it. There is no easy way to say it, but in the last decade, I see sunshine in my heart again for thousands of days. I wanted it, now the Sun is shining. "
The singer Mercy, whose real name is Aimee Anne Duffy, made it to the top of the charts in 12 countries.

Duffy continued his message as follows:
"Do you wonder why I prefer not to use my voice to express my pain? I didn't want to show the world the sadness in my eyes. I asked myself how to sing when my heart was broken like this. Slowly my heart was repaired. I'll share an interview in the coming weeks.
"If you have any questions, I would like to answer in the interview. I have a great love and admiration for your goodwill that you have shown me over the years. You have been friends with me. I would like to thank you for this."
